Making your first moves in Scorpion Solitaire

A clear plan starts with the current position. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Select cards directly on the tableau and work through a full solo deal. Use another round to revisit a decision. For a calm first round, focus on one decision. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.

A small practice goal

Use the rule sheet as a reference. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

The purpose of your moves

Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Take the next action only when the current step is clear. Keep the active rule in mind.

How to proceed

  1. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Complete same-suit king-to-ace runs to clear them from the tableau.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Input guidance

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer. Work at your own pace.

Follow the example

The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Use another round to revisit a decision.

A useful caution

Take a moment to read the table. Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.
